50's Diner

This place is your classic family diner, full of 1950s memorabilia and decor. It's perfect for a kid-friendly brunch for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the menu is huge with all brunch and lunch staples plus frappes galore and all sorts of fun diner (non alcoholic) drinks. Since they don't serve alcohol, definitely go for the chocolate frappe. The prices are reasonable, especially if you do a combo plate, plus they have a special kids menu that's even cheaper. Thirdly, the food is not particularly good, which kids don't seem to mind. It's not that anything tastes bad, but it's all greasy, not exceptionally fresh tasting or otherwise "special". The homefries are a big let down, although we obviously still ate them all 😳. This is also one of the only real diners in the area so the line is intense; expect to wait outside if you come after 9 AM. To sum this place up in a nut shell we'd say "wholesome". So, if you're in the area and want an adorable staple diner, here it is.
