Article 24, located deep in lower Allston, is a trendy brunch spot much more mellow then the typical Harvard Ave Allston brunch scene. Upon first walking in you’re greeted by the sign covered walls, open bar, and themed music (we went on Reggae day). The brunch menu has a variety of typical brunch dishes all with a subtle twist that makes deciding what to get difficult. The falafel cakes and eggs are seasoned well and served with spicy harissa, a pepper sauce, that will wake you up quicker then the coffee. The corn flake crusted French toast is super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it one of the more pleasingly textured French toasts we’ve had in a while. Topped with bananas and syrup you won’t want to stop eating. The highlight of Article 24, however, is the skillet potatoes. We at Brunches of Boston take breakfast potatoes very seriously, and let us tell you so does Article 24. The potatoes are super crispy and served hot and salty ready to be topped with hot sauce or ketchup. If brunch at Article 24 isn’t enough for you they’re also open late serving as a venue for local bands to come and perform.
