Love brunch? Stay up to date on Boston's best brunches and upcoming Brunches of Boston events.
Cambridge Brewing Company in Kendall Square offers a brunch that will soothe your Sunday scaries and mentally prepare you to transition to your week ahead. CBC has a chill and comfortable vibe, not the place you want to get rowdy and Sunday funday at, but somewhere you want to catch up with friends after weekend shenanigans. This brewing company makes an exception for us bubble lovers serving mimosas during brunch along with their own crafted brews. The inside seating area is simple with a small bar area and then patio seating offers sun or shade. There are many creative egg dishes but the brunch menu is limited for those who don't particularly love eggs, with only one sweet option and healthy option. We went with the Lemon Poppy Seed Waffle and Hangover Wrap. Complete with scrambled eggs, tots, bacon, sausage, pepper jack cheese, and a side of hop infused hot sauce this hangover wrap does the damn trick. All the flavors work together wonderfully, however the hot sauce is a bit watery and we would've preferred something with a little more consistency and kick for this bad boy. The Lemon Poppy Seed waffle is mouth watering and an absolute must. The real maple syrup and sweet yet tart blueberries bring out the light citrus notes and you will probably want another whole waffle like we do. Portions seem standard, the wrap is humongous but the waffle could've been bigger but maybe our stomachs are just being greedy because it was so good! Prices are fair most brunch entrees under $13 but they do offer more options for lunch as well. Cambridge Brewing Company is a great neighborhood spot for all our easy going brunchers!
