Devlin’s is the ideal mix of classy and casual, located right in the center of Brighton on Washington Street. It’s the neighborhood go-to spot for all types of brunch goers, whether you’re on a romantic day date or with a large group of friends for a Sunday Funday. The high ceilings and windows immediately make the entire place bright and welcoming, and the decor is homey. The menu is absolutely fabulous, maybe even one of our top favorites. It’s extremely large, and while most of the dishes are of American-influence, every dish seems to have flair. For appetizers, you’ll have trouble deciding between the apple cider donuts, pumpkin spiced French toast bites, or the brunch tater tots. For entrees the choice is even harder. Dishes range from lobster & asparagus benedict, Italian scrambled eggs, chorizo breakfast pizza, and even cannoli stuffed French toast. Plus MANY more that you’ll have to see for yourself. They also have a to-die-for brunch drink menu, full of various spiked coffees (any place that has more than one spiked coffee option is top on our list), multiple champagne drinks, and an insane Bloody Mary bar. We basically felt our arteries clogging as we ate the brunch tater tots with pulled pork, but no regrets. The entire dish was so decadent and cheesy we had to take a breather before the entrees. The salmon and avocado benedict provided very large portions of fish, and perfectly poached eggs. The steak bomb omelet is full of flavor from the onions, peppers, and mushrooms, but the egg quality isn’t top notch, and overall taste is average. All breakfast options come with a little hashbrown muffin and a small serving of fruit, both which are of average taste and quality. Prices here are only slightly above what we think makes sense. The atmosphere and menu options at Devlin’s are what will keep us coming back!
