It's adorned floor to ceiling in rustic country decor and equipped with a country music stage and menu to match. We'll post some pictures of the restaurant in a later post so ya'll can get a better feel for the ambiance...yeehaw! The menu is large and has some pretty awesome southern style treats and fixins like the smoked turkey sweet potato hash shown here, served with none less than a butter roll. And yes, those are grits on the plate behind. The coffee comes in an inspirational mug and the water in a mason jar...I mean how much cuter can they get! The cocktail menu is also expansive with fun southern twists on the usuals. The food itself is tasty, but don't judge a book by its cover here because, well let's be honest, those chunks of turkey could look more appealing. But, despite the medium first impression, damn the food tastes good! It's well seasoned, super buttery in true southern form and the portions are huge! The quality isn't of the local farmers market, but it isn't crap either. The prices are also pretty reasonable, nothing to boast about but also not break the bank. We say for atmosphere alone, everyone in Boston should come here at least once to channel their inner cowboy/girl. Oh, and if you do, be sure to wear flannel!
