Mamaleh’s is a Jewlish deli located in Kendall Square. The atmosphere is spacious and bright offering an old school dinery feel. The restaurant also has a sit down area if you choose not to dine at the counter top bar area. Plus side, there is a take-out counter so you can indulge on the go. The drink menu at Mamaleh's is noteworthy. They offer a combination of house-made foundation sodas, cocktails, milkshakes (even boozy ones!), egg creams and beer. We tried the hot toddy (see previous post), which was the perfect boozy drink for a snowy Saturday afternoon. The breakfast menu is on the larger side offering a variety of Jewish deli staples such as potato latkes, egg sandwiches on Challah bread, blintzes and fish plates. Not to mention, the breakfast menu is served all-day so it is totally acceptable to crush a bagel with schmear at any given hour. For our meals we decided to go with the Nova Lox fish plate. All fish plates come with red onion, tomato, capers, olives and cucumber. You also get your choice of bagel and schmear. One word to describe our meal: WOW! We were truly impressed at the presentation, portion size and taste. We recommend trying the Sour Cream Walnut Coffee Cake, which was unbelievable as well. The menu is reasonably priced with everything ranging between $7-20. We honestly could not stop raving about our meals. If you are in the mood for insanely good Jewish food staples, then Mamaleh's is the place to be.
