Located in the South End, Masa is a Southwestern restaurant known for their brunch and tequila list. The brunch atmosphere is lively and causal – it is great for every type of occasion. The brunch cocktail list is also great. If you’re a fan of mimosa’s then this is the place for you. They offer a variety of options with orange juice, hibiscus flower and guava puree to name a few. Of course, having that Southwestern flair they do offer tequila drinks like tequila sunrise and margaritas. We gave the Bloody Mary a try with pickled jalapeno and man was it spicy. We also had a taste of the Habanero Watermelon Margarita and loved it. Masa’s brunch is perfect if you are on a budget; they offer a two-course menu for $9.95. The menu options are limited but they cover the basics of three egg options and one sweet. The portion sizes are still large so you will leave full and satisfied. They also have an extensive a la carte brunch menu if you choose to opt out on the prix-fix menu. We decided to be ballers on a budget and go with the cheapest route. To start, we went with the fresh fruit plate – nothing fancy just a mix of fresh fruit. For our main, we decided to go with the Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Chorizo and Mexican Farmer’s Cheese. Super basic but we loved everything about it. The eggs are fluffy and creamy and the cheese/chorizo ratio is perfect. Not to mention, the home fries are dope – crispy on the outside and well-seasoned. We do have to mention that the service here is fantastic and our servers were super helpful. Aside from the $9.95 two-course menu, the a la carte menu prices range from $9-$14.
