Panificio is yet another Beacon Hill gem. It's located right on Charles street and has big open windows looking out, making it absolutely perfect for people watching. The vibe is super casual with a French bistro meets Beacon Hill prep flare to it. The menu is medium-large and offers a nice assortment of egg, meat and carb options. After much deliberation, we went with the Frittata and the Extreme French Toast (pictured here). The food is delicious; fresh, hearty and filled with surprising little details that make it great (like roasted red peppers in the frittata and the PERFECT cream cheese/fruit blend in the French toast). The homefries are a little more like dinner potatoes but they are deliciously seasoned, which is always well received. The food quality is also high and everything, especially the veggies in the frittata taste fresh. The prices are fine; not really cheap but also not break-the-bank. Portion size is hefty, we mean look at these things!
