Porto is a Mediterranean seafood restaurant located in the heart of Back Bay. The restaurant is very beautiful offering a bright and airy interior. We do wish we came to dine here during the warmer season since they have a nice patio setup. We're impressed with the drink menu offering a unique variety. The Bloody Mary is probably the best we have had yet. Best of all it comes topped with half of an oyster shell with additional seasonings to add to your drink (horseradish shavings, tomato and olives). Not to mention, they have ‘Cocktail Cart’ that offers a daily drink special and is made table-side right in front of you. The brunch menu is fairly small only offering two egg and two sweet options. We highly recommend starting off with the Cinnamon Bun. It is made with halva, a sesame paste, that offers a unique taste but it is to die for. It is served warm and topped with fresh pomegranate tendrils. The smell of the bun being made in the kitchen is tantalizing ! We decided to go with the Eggs and Toast as our main. It is served with eggs made to order (we asked for scrambled), potatoes, fresh tomato and avocado slices. The meal is very filling and satisfying. Most importantly, we give the potatoes an A+. They are cooked to perfection; slightly crispy on the outside and well-seasoned just the way we like it! The prices are bit on the higher end with everything around $15-$17 but the portions are fairly large. We do have to note that the drink service is a bit slow but our food came out immediately. However, this will not stop us from coming back! We loved every minute of our experience here.
