State Street Provisions is located by the Aquarium, where City Landing used to be and we welcome it with open arms. It is part of the Grafton Group (hint: Park Restaurant & Russell House Tavern) so a cool vibe and high quality is to be expected. The restaurant is completely transformed to give off a speakeasy/historic vibe with a family-friendly atmosphere; so if you are looking for a chill brunch spot in a good location, then this is it. The menu is of medium size. It offers a variety of options, ranging from sweet to savory such as Eggs Benedict, Apricot-Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast and Ham and Egg Pizza. Most of the plates come with home fries, which we like. They are cooked to perfection - slightly crispy with the right amount of seasoning. Tip: ask for a side of the garlic aioli to dip your home fries in – you will not regret it! The food quality here is high with super fresh ingredients. The lobster on the Eggs Benny tastes like it was pulled straight from the Boston Harbor moments before serving. The taste however isn’t as exceptional. Don’t get us wrong; the food is good, but nothing mind blowing. Brunch cocktails are unique and on the boozy side. Just about everything on the menu is priced around $13. Unless you want to have a YOLO splurge moment, the Steak & Eggs and Lobster Benny is $19. Not to the mention, the service is exceptional.
