Love brunch? Stay up to date on Boston's best brunches and upcoming Brunches of Boston events.
At any given hour Tatte Bakery in Beacon Hill is lively. It is the “it” spot to go to on the weekends and we can see why. Upon walking in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries puts you in a trance. From buttery croissants to decadent cheesecake, everything here is delicious. Even the coffee is amazing and handcrafted with love. Needless to say, trying to maintain some serious self-control here is very difficult. Brunch is offered from Friday-Sunday; the perfect way to begin or end your weekend. The menu is on the smaller side offering all egg options such as the breakfast sandwich (pictured here) in addition to their normal baked treats. The breakfast sandwich is awesome. It comes with free-range eggs, the perfect amount of melted Vermont cheddar cheese and bacon on fresh sourdough bread. We recommend asking for the eggs to be cooked medium – the slightly runny yolk soaks into the bread nicely allowing you to taste the liquid gold in every bite. With that being said, we give the food quality and taste two thumbs up. The brunch menu prices range between $8-$10 and the portion sizes are reasonable. If you are looking for a relaxing sit-down meal, then we do not recommend coming here as there is very limited seating, which is almost always occupied. But definitely grab a pastry to go – you will not regret it! Tatte Bakery has other locations throughout the Boston area (Brookline and three in Cambridge) that we cannot wait to try!
