When you're exploring Bristol, Rhode Island you will have a lot on your to see and do list in this quintessential New England waterfront town. Bristol preserves the charm of a historic seaside town perfectly and the Beehive Cafe enhances that exact charm. The Beehive is located in the heart of downtown Bristol overlooking the harbor. The atmosphere is cozy and easy going, there's seating inside and outside with two (very) small balcony and patio areas. The cafe offers full breakfast items daily creating the farm to table experience with a menu that offers a playful southern twist. Fun fact: The Executive Chef was previously at Julian's in Providence (see 5 star BOB review). Menu has lots of egg and sweet options that can cater to gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. To lead us into this terrific brunch we went with the Bacon and Brown Sugar Pancake, yep this is what brunch dreams are made of people. The pure maple syrup adds to this delectable treat and does not disappoint. We also chose the Rosemary Biscuit with 2 poached eggs, a delicious four cheese sauce, tomatoes, ham, and arugula. This hits all the savory breakfast notes you could want. And just because we can't say no to pancakes, a lemon ricotta pancake was also in order. While this was a totally different flavor from our bacon pancake, this pancake does not disappoint either with its soothing pastry-like flavors. Portions are perfect for sharing so you can try more items. Prices are average for full breakfasts but as this is a order at the counter type cafe you certainly save money. Also if you are feeling boozy they do offer creative mimosas along with beer and wine, as well as specialty espresso drinks, smoothies, and teas. Give the Beehive a try next time you are Bristol bound!
