The Mission Bar & Grill

The Mission Bar & Grill, located smack dab in the middle of Mission Hill is a surprisingly cozy brunch spot. From Huntington Ave, the bar looks unassuming and a bit dive-y but, it's actually a well put together, modern kitchen. The brunch menu is medium-large with a wide selection of protein offerings and a handful of carbs. The brunch cocktail list is DIVINE with temptations like the Sunny D (stoli orange vodka, OJ and champagne) and the Basil Cucumber Bloody Mary (which is legitimately our new favorite bloody. Not kidding go try it right now). After much deliberation we ordered two make your own omelettes, the breakfast burger and the corned beef hash. The ingredient quality is average, nothing more than you'd expect from a bar. The homefries are also on the average side because of their general bland flavor and mushy texture; as you know we like our homefries well seasoned and crispy! The corned beef hash on the other hand is notably good. The beef itself is cut into thick chunks and deliciously seasoned. There are vegetables mixed in with the meat, which adds a perfect crunch factor. The portion sizes are just as they should be; large enough to fill you up but not so large that you feel sick after eating. Prices are reasonable with everything falling between $10-$15.
