Located in the quaint Lower Mills area of Dorchester, The Sweet Life Bakery is a charming restaurant with an extensive brunch menu. The atmosphere is casual and laid back with just the right amount of coziness. They offer the option to order food at the counter or sit and be waited on. We decide to sit down at a booth to enjoy the meal. The menu boasts a variety of choices, including: omelets, Irish breakfast, steak and eggs, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, eggs benedict, and more! We recommend ordering a mimosa while mulling over the choices of what to eat. It comes with fruit on a stick, which makes it 100% better! For our entree we went with the ham and cheese breakfast sandwich because who could resist scrambled eggs, smoked ham, sharp cheddar cheese, slice of tomato, and honey dijon on house-made Texas toast? Not us! The sandwich comes alone, however, we added a side of home fries for $2.00. The house-made Texas toast is some of the best bread we have ever tasted. The bread appears to be dense, however, it is light and airy. The honey dijon sauce is an added bonus for your taste buds. The home fries are perfectly made - they are not too hard or crunchy. The Sweet Life Bakery is a family friendly restaurant, with a small town vibe. All items range from $5 to $15.
